D/C Rings

Recommended services include:

Mechanical stamping and transfer presses including clutches, brakes, die
cushions and counterbalance cylinders
Pneumatic cylinders rods and pistons
Hydraulic cylinder rods and pistons up to 3,000 PSI continuous pressure
with pressure “spikes” up to 5,000 PSI
Hydraulic press rams in good condition

Lofilm® Packing

This packing provides maximum security with virtually dry running capability. Lofilm Shallex Packing reduces the fluid film to a minimum level and performs well under adverse conditions, such rod misalignment. Efficient in split and well as endless construction, this packing does not require applied compression, and is safe to be considered for assembly in recess type housings.

Piston Cup & Flange Packings

Timely shipment is possible in popular and well-stocked sizes (up to 12” in diameter). Larger sizes can be manufactured to meet your specific requirements, and these packings come in a variety of materials to suit an extensive range of applications. Material choices include:

Leather — Specially treated for your application in a wider range of sizes with shorter delivery times than packings molded from homogeneous rubber or reinforced rubber combinations.

Reinforced Rubber — Available in various materials but limited to specific mold sizes.

Homogeneous Rubber — Available in various elastomers but limited to specific mold sizes.

Single Component Seals

Provided by James Walker manufacturing, the Solosele® “G” single component seal was designed to ‘float’ fit in its housing and acts as an easy retrofit into existing groves with few to no adjustments required. Gravity cylinders retract without ‘hanging up.’

Recommended applications include:

Upstroking presses, slabside or four poster, especially in the rubber molding and thermoset compression molding industry
Hydraulic cylinder piston heads and rods
Hydraulic control valves and accumulators
Gravity return presses requiring low friction characteristics
Older presses with scored rams, worn bushings and guides, etc. (sharp edges on scores should be smoothed)

Vee Type (Chevron®) Packing

This packing is available in a wide range of molded endless Vee Packing sizes. Large size press packings in 3/4”, 7/8” and 1” cross sections, from 18” to over 100” diameter cut from Garlock #432 Chevron® coil stock available and commonly eligible for same or next day shipment.
