Product Selection Criteria (STAMPS) provides six major pieces of information that are required in order to make a proper recommendation for any sealing product are known by the acronym STAMPS: Size, Temperature, Application, Media, Pressure, and Speed. The only one of these six that is not used by all product lines is the last ‘S’ (Speed), as speed is only required for compression packing and hydraulic components when used in pump applications.
